All Jenny Stories are written by God's Girls Newsletter participants. They are fiction stories telling about Jenny Johnson's life. The stories are in age order, from age three to age seventeen. Some stories did not have an assigned age; they are at the end of the blog page.
The Vision of writing "Jenny Stories"
Dear Friends,
My daddy has told many stories throughout our family’s life about a boy named Jason White. Our family started out with three boys, so it was natural that Daddy would tell boy stories. He would tell the stories in the evenings, or when Mother was in the grocery store and we were waiting in the car, or when we had a fire in the fireplace on snowy evenings. Some of the stories we taped and can listen to them over and over. Mother even told Jason White stories when she gave my brothers haircuts! Sometimes we are driving somewhere and Daddy will say, “Remember the Jason White story when… This is the very location I had in mind for that story!” Daddy’s stories usually had a lesson or growth opportunity for Jason.
From this idea the vision was born of creating a fictitous girl (named Jenny Johnson), and asking participants of God's Girls Newsletter to write stories about her life. These stories are about Jenny learning a lesson or having an interesting experience in life.
We thank God for His help to all who have written Jenny Stories and ask for His blessing on these stories in the future!
